B/w paper map 47x34cm. This had been folded into 8 sections and hole-punched for filing, so there are 8 holes running along the centre, very slightly affecting print in a couple of places, and some wear along folds. Undated, but possibly 1960s based on the production quality (regional auto association maps seen from the early 1970s tend to be in colour with illustrated wraps). The Kuwait International Automobile Club (KIAC), known locally as the KT Club, was established in 1956. It joined the Federation International de l'Automobile in 1967, and started organising motor sports events in Kuwait in the early 1970s. Labels are in English and Arabic, except for the title (Arabic only). The main title offers greetings from the KT Club only, but this is a road map of the Middle East bounded by Kuwait (SE), Sinai and part of mainland Egypt (SW), Turkey (NW), and the Caucasus (NE). No scale is given. It shows international boundaries, main roads with distances, rail, settlements etc. There is a distance table for main roads, indicating capitals, big towns, small towns, boundaries, petrol stations and rest houses.
