Eastern Half of Nova Scotia.(Old Maps, 19th Century Maps, North America, Canada, Maritimes, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island). Issued c. 1880, Chicago for likely Cram. Uncommon large detailed 19th century folio sheet map. Lithographed with original hand color. Not to be confused with much more common smaller maps of this area. Paper and image remains clean and well preserved with a fine patina and visual appeal. Original fold line as issued. Sheet measures c. 25" H x 17 1/2" W. Printed area measures c. 22 3/8" H x 16 3/8" W. Tooley's Dictionary of Mapmakers, vol. 1.[R35092].
