Frontis., xii, 300 pp.; 28 plts. (incl. in pagination), illus. Publisher's yellow cloth, front cover and spine stamped in black; spine darkened, with smudges to covers. Front pastedown with institutional bookplate; title-page plus one other page and four plates stamped by private collector. Sewing loosened towards front of volume, with some signatures pulling away from spine. A few pages with thumbprints in outer margins; one leaf with short tear from lower margin, not touching text.
