Album of commercial arithmetic exercises

neat manuscript in ink on paper, text in brown ink, brackets, occasional underlinings in red, a little staining here and there, 1 leaf with the lower half excised, ff. 47 leaves, 4to, original vellum, owner's name in ink in 3 places on covers, good. Early nineteenth-century exercise book for a course of commercial arithmetic, largely taken up with rates of exchange in the various countries of Europe - the examples all dated 1790. Particularly interesting for 'A Collection of Arithmetical Tables, Printed for and Sold by J. Camp, West-Smithfield', an oblong folio broadside, printed in columns (2, 3, or 4), and apparently unrecorded. This includes weights of staples such as bread, hay, coal and cloth.
