By J. T. Wood & Co. A lovely mid-19th century small lacey type greetings card with a printed (on silk) verse "Kindness". A Little word in kindness spoken, A motion or tear, has often healed a heart that's broken." The card is in an envelope form with 4 sides that fold over the verse, like a letter of the period, there is on one side at the fold line where the perforations have separated, but still holds, the embossed colour decorations are all hand finished as is the gilt highlights. Measures approx 4 x 2.5 inches. Blind stamped with makers name "Hood". Good to very good.

Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
