Add to basket3 trade cards: #1 is 11.4 x 7.9 cm.; #2 and #3 are 6.6 x 11.3 cm. #1 has a chromolithographed illustration of Jack and Jill falling down the hill with 2 lines of the nursery rhyme; it was printed by Chas. Shields' Sons, 20 & 22 Gold St., NY. The printer was at the address from 1879 to 1882. #2 and #3 are nos. 450 and 452 from a series with illustrations by Bufford, Boston. #2 is captioned "Whoa! Aunty!" and shows a group of Black characters: two boys tripping a woman carrying a basket of cotton in front of a field with people picking cotton. #3 is captioned: " A Fowl Shot" and shows a white man falling backward after shooting at some ducks. Alexander Nicoll founded Nicoll the Tailor, a tailoring business, in New York in 1868. In Very Good Condition: the backs are slightly discolored and scraped while the illustrations are clean and bright; closed 1-cm. tear from upper edge of #2.
