Set of 4 Pharmaceutical Advertising Cards

Four 19th century trade cards advertising Schenck's Mandrake Pills (4.5 x 3 in.), Ayer's Cathartic Pills (2.5 x 4.75 in.), Carter's Little Nerve Pills (4.25 x 3 in.), and Horsford's Acid Phosphate (5 x 3.25 in.). All are printed on both sides, with eye-catching lithographs on the front, and the rear text filled with spurious claims of medicinal cure-alls. Some evidence of adhesive to rear panels, mostly not affecting text, rear panel of Ayer's card with small pieces of browned tape at one corner and torn paper residue at center.
