Contemporary quarter green roan over patterned boards, gilt-stamped spine title, spine stamped "Hortet" (former owner ?) at bottom; boards rubbed. Bookplate of Andras Gedeon. Very good. FIRST EDITION. "Piorry, a pioneer of mediate percussion, introduced the percussor and the pleximeter in 1826. He also developed refinements to Laennec's stethoscope.
