Second edition, 8vo, pp. xiv, 365, [1]; frontispiece portrait and 28 plates, 3 maps and plans; some rubbing of the binding but generally very good and sound in original green cloth stamped in gilt and with a red seal on the upper cover. Neufeld was imprisoned for 12 years in Omdurman after the fall of Khartoum.
