On voit en elle le relief de ce qui se passe confusément dans la plupart des âmes car elle n'était extraordinaire que par l'étendue imposante de ses facultés. Tout était original chez elle et rien n'était bizarre. Nulle forme étrangère ne lui avait été imposée l'éducation mème n'avait pas laissé de profondes traces chez elle. Mais si ses jugements, dans leur sincérité impétueuse n'étaient jamais influencés par l'opinion, ils ne l'étaient non plus au dedans d'elle par aucun caprice, par au cane inégalité d'humeur. On était introduit par elle dans une région poétique dans un monde nouveau et pourtant ressemblant au nôtre, où tous les objets, plus grands, plus frappants, plus vivement co lorés, offraient pourtant leurs formes et leurs proportions accou tumées.
