The Champion Everbearing Strawberry has broken all records by producing from one acre 5623 quarts of berries in 169 days, bringing the grower in 129 days, This was accomplished on a sandy soil without irrigation.
Without doubt, it is the best everbearing strawberry you can secure and we recommend it above all others. We caution our customers to beware of substitutes for the Champion. There are other varieties that resemble it in appearance of plant and berry but not in pr'oductiveness. As this variety was introduced only four years ago there will not be enough plants grown to supply the demand. Send your order early and we will reserve true-to - name Champion plants for you.
The Champion blossoms early in the spring, along with the old fashioned varieties and commences fruiting with them, and from then on all summer and through September. October, and even November~ and into December some seasons. They are very hardy, withstanding hard frosts Without injury to fruit or blossoms. Early frosts, if severe. Will kill the blossoms that are open but new blossoms take their place and the vines go on fruiting.
Set out a patch of Champions th1s spring. They will begin to fruit in paying quantities about the middle of July. The same year the plants are set out. Fresh berries bring fancy prices at the time of the year the Champions are bear ing. There is money in it for you. Order plants now, 'to' be delivered at the proper time for planting', and have all the berries you want this summer and next fall.
