About the Author:

Peter Hunt is Reader in English at the University of Wales, Cardiff. He has lectured on children's literature at nearly sixty universities worldwide. His books include Criticism, Theory and Children's Literature (Blackwell, 1991), An Introduction to Children's Literature (Oxford University Press, 1994), and six books for children. He is the editor of Children's Literature: The Development of Criticism (Routledge, 1990), Literature for Children: Contemporary Criticism (Routledge, 1992), and Children's Literature: an Illustrated History (Oxford University Press, 1995).
