Revised edition of the Radiological Atlas of Bone Tumors , 1966 (Volume I: Malignant Tumors) and 1973 (Volume II: Benign Tumors and Tumor-like Lesions). The Atlas gives an overview of the diversity in the radiographic image of all malignant and benign bone tumors, and of many tumor-like bone lesions, by displaying some 1,500 illustrations (chosen from more than 8,000 documented files from the Netherlands Committee on Bone tumors) which stress the typical and atypical features that would fit a diagnosis. As well as the conventional radiograph, all of the modern imaging techniques (CT, MRI, isotope scintigraphy, etc.) are fully discussed, and a description of the gross and microscopic pathology, along with the choice of treatment currently advocated, completes each chapter of the specific tumors. Annotation copyright Book News, Inc. Portland, Or.
