Book Description Hardcover. Condition: Fine. 5th or later Edition. Gorgeous large format book is a true labour of love. Originally published in 1893, this is only the 5th edition of this book, a facsimile of the 1972 edition replete with hundreds of Aubrey Beardsley's stunning, breathtaking illustrations, both full-page and smaller chapter headings, also a frontis self-portrait a two separate title pages; the cover boasts a gorgeous embossed gilt design on the black boards by Beardsley as well, and the top edge is also gilt. The book is essentially As New, with only a few of tiny, faint marks on the fore & lower page edge, pages are clean, binding is tight. The unclipped DJ features the same gilt illustration as the boards, and has light surface wear, mild edge wear, and slight rubbing of the top corner. Black slipcase has light surface wear and is very firm. Dispatched from the UK same or next working day. NB: Due to the utter stupidity of Brexit, parcels sent to the EU may incur customs charges. Book Description Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 4th Edition. Forth edition and first printing and facsimile of 1927 third edition. Limited edition of 1600 copies. Very large and heavy 4to volume in slip case. In near fine black, bright gilt-decorated cloth boards and gilt titles to spine. The boards are very tight and straight; clean; spine and edges firm. Very white unmarked end papers. Shiny gilt top cut edge; the fore and tail edges are only very lightly marked. The text block is very firm, flat and clean with vivid b/w illustrations, including facsimiles of cover designs of first edition, even with spelling mistakes. Fine condition and overall condition is fine minus as boards are near fine. No dedications etc. In near condition glossy dust jacket which replicates the boards. The jacket is clean, edges and top and sides of spine a little edge-worn. Not price clipped. In near fine rigid black card slipcase. As it is very heavy please contact us for cost of postage.
