A while back, I realized that in my daily devotional readings I often skipped the Psalms and gravitated to the New Testament. Yet, when I accepted Christ as my Lord at the age of thirteen it was the Psalms that I was first drawn to in the Bible.
The Lord convicted me and told me to write devotionals only on the Psalms. And so I did . . . for six months. This booklet is an accumulation of that effort.
It is merely a collection of  various Psalm verses and looking at them in a fresh light. Not all of the 150 Psalms are represented. Some of these devotionals reflect what I was going through at the time, others not. They are snippets, admittedly often out of context, but sincere observations of how relevant the Psalms' message is for every age and every life, including mine.
I hope these brief viewpoints and insights bring you joy, draw you deeper into God's love for you, and encourage you to discover your own Song Notes buried in the verses of the Psalms. The Bible contains messages for us all, in God's perfect timing.

About the Author:

Freelance writer, author  and speaker Julie B Cosgrove leads retreats, workshops, and Bible studies. She writes regularly for several Christian websites and publications and has been published in the Chicken Soup for the Soul, Upper Room's Devozine and Alive Now, The Secret Place, The Journey and Good News Daily.
Besides ghostwriting and editing for clients, Julie has personally published three Bible studies, a devotional and one fiction, and is currently working on two more novels.
