About the Author:

Minerva O?Bryant Chandler and her husband Charlie were turn of the century ranchers in Terrell County, Texas. They lived on the banks of the Pecos River, brought up six children, and survived a thousand hardships connected with the time and the area. A devoted church member, she loved her family, fishing, and gardening. She died in 1970.
