This haphazardly organized holiday gift item is silly and full of one-liners and questionable facts. Gwathmey and Stern, who regularly publish lightweight collections of miscellany (Once Upon a Telephone: An Illustrated Social History, LJ 9/1/94), say they had "a good time" doing their research.
