About the Author:

Author and Illustrator: Joan Dee Wilson.
After art school, apprenticeship and two decades as commercial artist; product rendering for major ads and catalogs, serving Detroit's auto advertising, I then retired. Although, I soon realized something was missing. That something is what I found, by the encouragement of my young adult children - writing and illustrating my first Children's Picture Book: Kessy Ventures. As an author and illustrator, images, characters and theme development fill my mind daily. Often I stop what I'm doing to jot down notes to briefly record a fleeting scene or phrase. I truly hope young readers will enjoy Kessy and look forward, as I do, to the next episode which I am currently working on.
