I designed this book in a larger size (8 x 10) and with widely spaced lines because I so often find smaller journals difficult to write in and to read. My writing tends to be big and loopy! This has a great sense of space for writing in, not cramped at all. Each entry has a front and back page with prompts to write about your items of gratitude and how you feel about them. The value in journaling is in really getting to the feelings, the how and why you are grateful. This puts you in a state of complete appreciation and all kinds of good things come from there.Each entry also has a front and back page of open space for creative expression. Some of us communicate best in different formats. You might use that space to draw or color, to attach mementos associated with your gratitudes, make a little collage! You might just want that space for more writing and it's perfectly fine to continue a journal entry into that space or to use it for a new entry. It's your journal and you are free to use that space as you wish!Studies indicate that once or twice a week is optimal for gratitude journal entries. More than that can easily feel forced or like a chore when you really want to just feel blessed and thankful.I hope you love this book as much as I enjoyed designing it for you!

  • There are many reasons for counting one's blessings, both great and small. It is common sense those who feel gratitude are happier and more content in any circumstance. Awareness of our blessings makes happy times more so and lightens our burdens in difficult or challenging times. Gratitude eases our stress and is thus beneficial for our health. We are also learning that those who count their blessings are better able to manage chronic pain and illness. Certainly, giving thanks is key to utilizing the law of attraction as a state of gratitude will draw more for which to feel grateful. I want you to be able to look back on your blessings in a way that lets you experience them again whenever you wish to do so. For this reason, I have made space to write about your feelings as well as left space open to express yourself through drawings, poetry, your own favorite quotes and any other artistic means you may wish. Or you might just want to keep writing...
