About the Author:
Tad Hills is the author and illustrator of My Furry Friends, also published by Simon & Schuster. He lives in New York with his wife and two cats Jasper and Tiger.

A handsome couple wearing fur-lined cloaks and riding in an elegant sleigh evoke an air of old Russia; frozen ponds and waterwheels, snow-covered houses and barns speak vividly of New England. Each verse of the song is introduced in expansive double-spread paintings beautifully presenting the fanciful gifts. Scenes of a winter carnival show children with animal hats and masks and musical instruments having a wonderful time on a frozen pond.
