About the Author:
With few exceptions, each image in Polk County, Georgia is over 50 years old. The photographs have been obtained from many collections and individual holdings. Little-known historical facts have been culled from records found in the county courthouse and state archives, from interviews with descendants of old families, and years of local newspapers. Whether one is a newcomer to the area's charms or a lifelong resident, Polk County, Georgia offers something for everyone.
