Follow the exploits of Calvin, night usher of the Bijou, a Forty-second Street movie house specializing in fright film revivals, as he is seduced by Sheila, a vamp and disciple of the King, the world's oldest existing vampire.
Calvin finds vampire life on the Bowery far different than what he is used to, but in a sense even though undead he is more alive than ever. Join him as he gets recruits, angers the King as well as the authorities, and fights off vampire killers.
Return to a simpler time, the early 1980s, when all we have to worry about is herpes and, oh yes, more than a few vampires.
