From the prize-winning author of "Your Time to Cook" and "Your Time to Bake" comes a clever, reader-friendly, and easy-to-follow cookbook for anyone who has said, "I wish I knew how to cook". Although for some people, preparing a five course gourmet meal is an effortless task, others find scrambling an egg to be a monumental challenge. "Everyone's Time to Cook" is here to lend a helpful hand to anyone who feels overwhelmed in the kitchen.

The book begins with Cooking Class 101 - a fun and enjoyable introduction to cooking basics, including an overview of useful kitchen gadgets and appliances, helpful guidelines for stocking the pantry, and a review of common terms and techniques. Throughout, over 1,500 full-color photos provide visual assistance to ensure that the information is clear and accessible, whether it is a description of how to boil and egg, core a pepper, roast the perfect chicken, or even set a proper table (with forks, knives, and glasses perfectly arranged!). Hundreds of foolproof kitchen-tested recipes cover everything from breakfast dishes and party snacks to luscious soups, salads, and side dishes. There are delectable pasta dishes and seafood favorites, as well as entrees that spotlight chicken, beef, pork, and lamb. And of course let's not forget dessert! To ensure cooking success, photos accompany each recipe's step-by-step instructions, while practical tips and "tricks" make sure that every dish is both picture perfect and perfectly delicious!

Whether you are struggling with your first attempts at cooking, tired of ordering in, or simply someone who would like to gain more confidence in the kitchen, "Everyone's Time to Cook" is the perfect teacher. So light the candles, chill the wine, and let your love affair with cooking begin...

From the Author:
Writing cookbooks, then having them published and sold internationally has been a dream come true. And for the icing on the cake, my first book, Your Time to Cook, received the Benjamin Franklin Award for "Cookbook of the Year" in a nationwide competition. Geared for beginners - Your Time to Cook was designed as a gift book for "newlyweds, couples, and lovers." The book you are holding now, Everyone's Time to Cook, is based on that award-winning title, but has been redesigned to include anyone who wants to learn the basics of cooking - old or young, male or female, married or single.

As you will see, I won't try to impress you with recipes that require exotic or expensive ingredients, or that involve difficult preparation techniques. You don't have to be a master of the culinary arts to be able to cook (and cook well). I believe I have a pretty good understanding of the best way to show the average person how to prepare food - simple, straightforward, and with lots of photos as visual guides. As far as the dishes themselves, I guarantee you'll enjoy the selection. Each kitchen-tested recipe (yep, really kitchen tested) has easy-to-follow step-by-step directions that are accompanied by full-color photos. These photos have not been retouched, nor has the food been altered in any way (known in the industry as "food styling"); so as long as you follow the directions, your completed dishes should look just as appetizing as they do in the finished shots.

I hope this book becomes your "go to" guide not only for great dishes, but also as a handy reference. It offers so much more than simply recipes. I've included extensive food glossaries, guidelines for basic cooking and baking techniques, and helpful information on choosing and using kitchen utensils and appliances. There is even a table that lists lower-fat ingredient options and one that gives ingredient substitutions (just in case you discover you're missing one while in the middle of a recipe). Throughout the book, I've also shared lots of "Important Tips" that I've discovered over the years. These valuable bits of information are designed to prevent common mistakes when preparing certain dishes to ensure successful results.

For further guidance, you can also check out my channel on You Tube called "Your Time to Cook" - named after my first book. On it, I've posted a series of instructional videos for many of my recipes. Each one begins with a humorous introduction that hopefully will give you a good laugh or two. I like to keep humor in my videos as well as in my cookbooks because I believe cooking should be fun.

So enjoy Everyone's Time to Cook. Through its simple instructions and visual guidance, you'll be sure to gain a solid cooking foundation - one that results in great culinary skill and confidence.

Bon Appétit!
