About the Author:
James C. Dobson. Fue profesor clínico asociado de Pediatría en la Unversidad de California Sur, Escuela de Medicina, durante 14 años.
Durante otros 17 perteneció al cuerpo médico del Hospital Infantil de Los Angeles en la sección de Desarrollo Infantil y Medicina genética.
Fue elegido por los Presidentes Jimmy Carter y Ronald Reagan como consejero de temas familiares y de la juventud, en el programa de la Comisión para la Justicia Juvenil y la Prevención de la Delincuencia.
Asimismo ha participado en la Comisión Judicial General de Pornografía y la Junta de Niños Perdidos y Explotados.
Está casado y es padre de dos hijos.
Lleva a cabo su obra mediante un programa de radio y televisión que se transmiten en casi 200 emisoras, lo que hace de él una verdadera celebridad nacional.

He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California (1967) in the field of child development.
The author of 33 books, including his most recent best seller, Bringing Up Boys, he has been heavily involved in governmental activities related to the family.
Dr. Dobson is married to Shirley and is the father of two grown children, Danae and Ryan. He resides in Colorado.
