About the Author:
Barbara Pruett ( M.L.S., California State, San Jose) is a librarian, researcher, and writer. In the early 1970s she was head of the Information/Research Center for Cesar Chavez's United Farm Workers before taking a position as head of Catholic University's Social Sciences Library. Active in the library profession for many years, she has served two terms on ALA's Council and worked on a number of committees. She is the author of Fast Cars and Country Music, a bibliography of Marty Robbins (Scarecrow, 1990).
