In this book the future of Personal Computing is described, not only as it was for the field's early pioneers, but with predictions that are a dead-on accurate description of what has transpired between then and now.

I am nearing 60 now and I published this book when I was in my early thirties. A lot of the information in the book was prepared on a typewriter! Some came from my own computer, the one described in this book. It really worked. It is fun to see how the Personal Computer has evolved and I have been honored to be among the pioneers of the field.
About the Author:
It all began soldering amateur radio transmitters and receivers together in my youth. I was hooked on electronics. Later that would evolve to putting together a handful of parts to create one of the first Personal Computers by the time I was thirty, I went on to become a Web Content Executive. I get paid a lot of money to tell companies how to best manage their computer infrastructures. My passion to allow the Personal Computer to become a "cyborg" companion has driven me into a lifetime of experimentation with computers and computational paradigms.
Even when this now "historical" piece was written, I was interested on the sociological impact when individuals were as empowered to operate effectively and efficiently. Little would I realize the impact on myself. Lately, I have given over to most effectively dealing with the so-called "programming," rather better called, "influencing" the computers that people carry around with them. I call these Quantum computers, for lack of a better descriptor. Humans are massively parallel quantum-like computers with their own built in programmers. These may be programmed if and only if the human being permits it.
This historical predictor of the future state of the art comes from a text illustrated with schematic diagrams of vacumn tubes. It couldn't have been more accurate in its predictions of the idea that someday everyone would have their own "Personal" computer.
The technical descriptions can put you on snooze, but it makes for mighty interesting reading. This is the basic bottom-line for how your (now) ubiquitous Personal Computer operates
