About the Author:

Lex Bradley is a qualified youth worker with a degree in youth and community work with practical theology, currently working as chaplain in a girls' boarding school. She is an aspiring deep thinker and enjoys blogging about her thoughts on youth work, faith and life.

This is a fantastic resource based on real-life experience. I had the honour of supervising Lex's research as she put this project together. It was a personal journey for her, and many times tears were the only way that we could make sense of the journey. She was determined that others would learn from her experience, and what she has produced is a well-researched, thoroughly practical, often philosophical, resource, that will be a lifeline to any children's or youth worker faced with the care of a child or young person facing or experiencing a life-changing bereavement. She says it how it is, and has provided creative ways to equip those seeking to walk alongside a child or young person engulfed in the shadow created by the life and death of someone they love.
