About the Author:
Jack Groppel is director of player development for Harry Hopman/Saddlebrook International Tennis and was selected Professional of the Year in 1987 by the U.S. Professional Tennis Association. Author of Tennis for Advanced Players and Those Who Would Like to Be, he has advised such players as John McEnroe, Chris Evert, and Stan Smith.

James Loehr is director of sport psychology for the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy. A regular columnist for World Tennis magazine, he is the author of Mentally Tough, Net Results: Training the Tennis Parent for Competition, and Mental Toughness Training for Sport and has worked with over 40 of the world's best players.

Scott Melville is an associate professor in the Health, Physical Education and Athletics Department of Eastern Washington University. In addition to having coached both men's and women's collegiate tennis teams, he has extensive experience working with young children in the areas of motor learning and physical education.

Ann Quinn is an Australian sport science consultant who works with elite and professional athletes. She is trainer for 1987 Wimbledon champion Pat Cash and has advised many other tennis champions, including Hana Mandlikova and numerous world class juniors from various countries. Ms. Quinn serves the U.S. Tennis Association as clinician and consultant.
