About the Author:
Mary Frances (Donohoe) Bayles is a native of Elkins, West Virginia. Her early career was that of a Registered Nurse. Later, in 1990, she received a B.A. Degree from San Diego State University. She has published poems, short stories and plays. "Mollie" is her most lengthy endeavor. She now resides in San Diego, CA., where she is a continuing graduate student at S.D.S.U.

The Mayor and City Council of San Diego, The Board of Library Commissioners and The San Diego Public Library invited the author to its 35th Annual Local Authors Exhibit, January 27, 2001, and accepted a copy of Mollie as a contribution to their collection.

Ms. Bayles was awarded the bronze metal for her achievements.
