From the Author:
Everyone said that our second book would be about what it is like to write a book with your mother/daughter. We are happy to report that we are still on speaking terms and have enjoyed this time to work together as professionals. We have always been close, but working together on this book took that closeness to a whole new level. We now look forward to future collaborations as a mother-daughter team.

We wrote this book for women of all ages who seek to understand the impact their personal development has had on their professional life. Winning Roles for Career-Minded Women identifies the developmental and organizational issues that effect women, providing suggestions and exercises to help them find solutions. We believe that most professional books for women tell the reader how to change in order to fit in at work. These books do not speak to innate strengths nor do they value the reader as an individual. We wanted to write a book that makes sense of how we became the individuals we are by presenting information about developmental psychology, social psychology, and organizational behavior in an easy-to-read, understandable format that would be useful to the reader. It is our hope that as you read Winning Roles for Career-Minded Women you will begin to get a greater understanding of who you are as an individual and how it is helping or hindering you in your professional life.

This book is based upon material we use in our work in women's networking groups, workshops, leadership coaching, and career development programs. Our clients have found this information very helpful in pursuing their goals. Regardless of the type of work that you do, this book is an essential tool for developing your own winning role for success. We wish you the very best of luck.
