About the Author:
Robert L. Dunn, formerly a partner at Cooper, White & Cooper, San Francisco, California, is a graduate of Cornell University (A.B. 1958) and Harvard Law School (J.D. 1962, magna cum laude) where he was a member of the Board of Editors of the Harvard Law Review. Mr. Dunn conducted major commercial litigation for 35 years for such corporations as American Telephone and Telegraph Company, GTE California Incorporated, Communications Satellite Corporation, and Golden State Warriors, aswell as other corporate and individual clients. He has also served as an expert witness on legal aspects of commercial damages, a subject in which he is considered one of the country’s leading experts. Mr. Dunn is the author of two other authoritative books: Recovery of Damages for Fraud, now in its third edition, and Winning with Expert Witnesses in Commercial Litigation, both also published by Lawpress. He has lectured extensively before the American Bar Association’s Litigation section, state bar associations, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the American Society of Appraisers, among other groups. He has served as an instructor both at the Hastings Center for Trial and Appellate Advocacy and in the California Continuing Education of the Bar program. Mr. Dunn also acts regularly as an arbitrator on commercial cases before the American Arbitration Association. Mr. Dunn is a member of the California and New York Bars.
