In a father's arms a child should find safety. But what happens when that place of safety becomes a prison of secret abuse? Physical, mental and sexual abuse takes is toll on a child's heart by smothering any hope of a safe tomorrow. These kinds of adolescent assaults can imprison the heart of a child held captive by the guilt of shame of a dark past, leaving only a sense of doom and the constant fear of the future.

At the hand of their father, each and every member of the Sault family was brutally violated in different and terifying ways. For people who have spent their lifetimes doing everything they can to keep secret their own terrible tales of abuse, the prospect of moving on seems impossible. After all, hidden secrets are often lies. The good news is that once lies are exposed, they lose their power to control.

This story of triumph from defeat finally brings to the masses the most essential ingredient for healing: Hope! The truth is, you're not alone. If you're one of the millions of people who had their innocence stolen from them, it's never too late to find forgiveness and strength to get better.

About the Author:
Larry Sault came from a dysfunctional, destructive lifestyle that caused much pain, anger, and bitterness in his life. After getting saved in 1981, Larry devoted himself to the ministry, traveling through the Canadian Arctic, where he spent more than 15 years raising leaders, building churches, hosting major conferences, and developing short-term bible schools. He has also brought his influence to bear on Indian politics, serving as Chief of his home reservation for four years. He was also elected Grand Chief of the Association of Iroquois and Allied Indians, gaining regional, national, and international exposure. His ministerial and political endeavors have taken him around the world where he has spoken at prestigious universities, corporate functions, and leadership seminars. Today, Larry owns his own business and travels extensively across the country. Claire Heath has committed her adult life to serving the Lord by carrying his message of hope and healing to those in need. Claire is one of the founders of Divine Choices, a ministry and non-profit organization that helps people who have suffered from the debilitating affects of sexual abuse. Thanks to 24 years of recovery and the saving grace of God, Claire s own success story exemplifies the Divine Choices model that she prays will empower others to experience the full restoration of Jesus Christ. As a visionary leader and coach, Claire has years of experience in social work, substance abuse treatment, and human resource management. She is currently the Director of Human Resources with Dealtree Inc.
