Synopsis

This "Reps spasm you are effulging" (as Paul Reps describes it) has been compiled from the eclectic assortment of letters, postcards, manuscripts, brush drawings and newspaper clippings which Reps has mailed his friend Bill over the last 30 years. All of the text and art in this book is take from either these mailings or from previously published Reps work. This is the first published collection of Reps' letters, and it includes the first reproduction of his drawings on soft Japanese paper in twenty years. This type of paper, made primarily from mulberry bark (kozo) is the original medium for Reps' finest work. These reproductions are, therefore, the only true reproductions.
