Is your child Memory Smart?

Your child's memory ability will have more impact on their school success than any other skill. Memory is vital for reading comprehension. Science classes demand it. It's a requirement to do well in math. Without it, history is a blur. Memory ability impacts every class your child takes. It is the universal academic skill. It is also the most neglected subject in education. How many memory classes did you take in school? Can you list the major memory methods and give examples of how each is used?

Parents and teachers, learn how to coach children on nine memory enhancing skills. You don't have to be a memory whiz to be a memory coach. From the Author:
I started working with memory skills at the request of students in an intensive 30 day resident leadership training course. It is packed with information. With the inclusion of memory training, we started getting amazing results. For example, students found they could commit an outline of the class to memory in a short period of time. In a playful display of memory muscle, students studied a National Geographic Magazine and without looking they could tell you what pictures were on what page. Using memory skills, students learned the names of 20-40 people in their first meeting. As our students returned home, parents, teachers, and principals began to request information on the improved memory capabliity they were seeing in their children. Thus began a series of classes where memory skills were presented, tested, and refined for use in a school setting. Classes were so popular that adults started sitting-in to find out how to improve their own memory.
