About the Author:
Paul Giambarba has written and illustrated a dozen books about Cape Cod ecology, natural history and marine lore. His illustrations and designs have won gold medals and other awards from Art Directors Clubs of New York and Boston and the American Institute of graphic Arts. Articles about his work have appeared in American Artist and Horn Book.

Dangerfield is what the Pilgrims called Truro, on Cape Cod. It's a good name for this narrow land off the Massachusetts coast that sticks out into the stormy Atlantic Ocean.
