From the Author:
I am a registered nurse, wife, and mother. I was born in Macon, Georgia, however, I grew up on the go because my father was in the Air Force which took us to many states and to several countries. Traveling throughout my youth gave me a broad education on the differences and similarities. I have raised two children, my daughter, now age 26, who suffered a cerebral injury at the age two and has required the assistance of many medical professionals throughout her life, and my son, age 17, who recently suffered from a cerebral aneurysm. Being a nurse gave us the upper hand in battling with the health facilities and the knowledge to find new treatments, and the proper facilities to save his life. My mission in life is to educate the public on the health services available, and to provide health related information. This health information is to improve daily life and give everyone the opportunity to participate in their health care by making informed decisions. This book is an excellent source of information for caregivers, retired persons, or family members who are providing care their loved one.
