Ed Bell has written 25 books that cover the periods from 1971-1996 and this is his special selection for Broadcasters Showcase. It is a wonderful book that is difficult to describe. The commentaries are in ten catagories or subjects, they include the actual scripts that went on the air, and while such material for oral presentation can be diull when it is seen on the printed page Broadcasters Showcase is the exception. Ed closed each broadcast with "That's our view, we welcome yours", but his message to those bleeding heart liberals was, "That's our view, to hell with yours".
My radio commentaries have been a part of life on the first coast of Florida for over 25 years. Many Floridians have helped with their opinions and views.
Everybody has a right to their own opinion, even the left wind bleeding heart liberals out their in Hollywood. But sometimes they cause a lot of trouble, example the Viet Nam protesters. My own opinion does't always come out on top, but here in America we have a right to have our say, whatever it is.
For 25 years my job has been to express my opinions on the radio. They were mostly about the news and the world around us. Maybe I wasn't always right, but those broadcasts made folks think about the problems and concerns of the day. I beleive we all have an obligation to listen to opinons and put our two cents worth in.
If nothing else, my commentaries provideddd a little balance for the conservative side, You have to admit the liberals have taken over the media.
This nations is being torn apart by people who have very low morals and no belief in God, and it is time for some of us to take a stand.
This is the greates nation in the world and we are truly blessed to be able to live here. The people who made this country what it is were the kind who believed in hard work, in God, the free enterprise system and the American way of life. I am proud to be one of them. In our nation they are a vanishing breed.
