About the Author:
In examining the resume of Yvonne Lewis, if you didn't know any better, you would think that she was two separate individuals. Yvonne has had the privilege of maintaining two distinct, yet highly successful careers. She has been a studio vocalist, with gold and platinum albums on her walls to prove her illustrious associations. Yvonne has worked with some of the industry's finest: Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, Quincy Jones, Bob James, and a host of others. She has sung on national commercials such as: "Caress", "Quaker Oats", "Chic"Jeans,"Burger King", and the list goes on and on... In 1985, Yvonne recorded her first solo CD entitled, "No Strangers in Paradise" which received critical acclaim in "Billboard" Magazine.

Approximately, ten years ago, Yvonne developed a passion for health and wellness. Having earned a Master of Social Work degree, she already had a desire to help people, and became involved in the investigation of nutrition and supplements. She took several classes toward a Doctor of Naturopathy degree and learned about nutrition from Dr. Bernard Jensen. In 1997, Yvonne became the Lifestyle Editor for "Life in the Spirit", a Dallas-based Christian newsmagazine. During that same year, Yvonne began to investigate the available information on menopause, and decided to write a book on the subject. Hence, "Where's the Toast? A Woman's Guide to Managing Menopause" was born.
