While other books explain how to change, cope with, and operate within recurring undesirable symptoms, You Are The Solution explains how to create change that eliminates the undesirable symptoms. You Are The Solution, written in simple terms, explains how to create the kind and quality of relationships and life we choose.

We will not be trying harder. We will instead, focus our attention on how we choose to do life.
This is what happened to me: I grew up with the Puritan Ethic. We've all probably heard versions of it that sound like this, "Life's a struggle. The more you struggle, the more you get out of life. Struggle and hardship contribute to, and deepen one's sense of self-worth. Effortless is meaningless and valueless." As I learned new solutions that offered a higher degree of ease, I was amazed at how my mind wanted to complicate things. Somehow the struggle gave it more value and meaning. Why?
As I continued questioning why, I discovered that fear was the driving force behind the choices I made that kept me in struggle. The fear, in this case, was that there would be no value or little meaning to what I was striving for without the struggle. Without the struggle I wouldn't get what I wanted and where I wanted to go. Therefore, I saw no choice about it. And by struggling, I stayed stuck right where I was.
Many people believe that the only way to get what they want in life, grow, or attain higher levels of conscious awareness is through struggle. Those of us that do, tend to create crises as a path of growth. Wouldn't it be easier, and take a lot less time and energy, to decide to grow through joy and harmony rather than struggle? Let's give ourselves a break and make a commitment to find a way to do this easily. Let's wash away any mental pictures of growing through struggle and replace them with pictures of growing through peace, joy, and harmony.
This book is designed to help us recognize that being in an arena of struggle will only net us a result that will maintain the struggle. So I will emphasize one more time: the less we struggle, the better the result.
