About the Author:

After fifteen years as a Montana fly fishing guide, the author hung up his oars and set out to chronicle and record all of the best stretches of his favorite rivers, hidden creeks and enchanted lakes from Glacier National Park to Yellowstone National Park. A high school English teacher with 26 years under his belt, he is now the willing pupil of one of his ninth grade students who is teaching him how to train a donkey as a pack animal. During the next three summers, he hopes to cover the best back-country fishing from Glacier to Yellowstone.
