About the Author:
Patrick W. Miller has served as a university professor and administrator where he has taught tests and measurements for more than 25 years. Dr. Miller has written three books and presented numerous papers on ways to improve teacher-developed tests. Miller holds a Ph.D. in Education from The Ohio State University and a master's certificate in Government Contracting from The George Washington University School of Business and Public Management. He is listed in Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.
Harley E. Erickson is Professor Emeritus, Department of Educational Psychology and Foundations, University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, where he taught statistics and tests and measurements for 24 years. He also taught tests and measurements and statistics at other universities for more than 12 years. Dr. Erickson co-authored four books on testing. He holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
