The main character in The Wizard Within is Jay Wiles, a successful advertising executive living the American Dream. By day Jay works as a hot-shot executive for the Mindbenders Advertising Agency, yet by night his very core is challenged by a comical yet wise Wizard who takes him on the rollercoaster ride of his life. Headed up by a charismatic leader, Thadeus Rebelstar, Mindbenders advertising agency is the place to work for any dynamic adman. As a subplot, Jay s ad work entertains the reader with various drive slogans, ads, and ad campaigns throughout the novel and provides a light-hearted break from some of the darker and heavier chapters. In a series of comic, ironic, and emotionally charged dramatic scenes, The Wizard Within explores a vast range of human experience such as human relationships, morality, sexuality, Western religion, science, psychiatry, our relationship to the Natural World, and the future of the human species. What furthers the attraction and makes such a profound exploration of life and living possible is the complexity and realness of the characters.

Review:
The Wizard Within is the beginning of the answer to man's ultimate search for love, joy, and connectedness with the Universe ... Besides being an absorbing journey, this novel is an extraordinarily ambitious undertaking that merits a score of 9 out of 10 on the significance scale (I'm reserving a 10 for the sequel). --Dr. Gary Sloan, psychiatrist

The Wizard Within was such a blast to read and reread and reread. I think the ladies down at the local bookstore are starting to get a little curious about this one! Thanks for writing The Wizard Within. I found it entertaining, inspirational and most terrifying. After reading it twice I recognized what that low grade sense of despair I have been feeling for years actually is. Your writing has been like a cool drink of water to me, so refreshing and satisfying ... Yours in ways I could barely imagine. --Jem Rockholt, entrepreneur, Yakima WA

I read The Wizard Within when I was 15 and I've experienced a different reality ever since. I felt like I'd been hit over the head but at the same time I felt an assurance and optimism I'd never had before...I'm accustomed to only doing things that feel safe and comfortable and your ideas challenge me like nothing else I've ever experienced. In a profound way, it was the natural connection I made with your philosophy that inspired me to want to embrace change. I give you my infinite gratitude for being so open and for writing The Wizard Within. --Janice van Beek, Gabriola Island, B.C.
