About the Author:
Fred Van Dyke is a retired science teacher from Punahou School, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is the author of Thirty Years of Riding The World's Biggest Waves; he has ghost written for other surfers and athetes and his articles have appeared in Life Magazine, Life International, Surfer Magazine, Surfers Journal, Surfing and Sports Illustrated.
