About the Author:

Kathy Slamp, M.Ed., is an experienced educator, author and public speaker. As a young child her family moved from their home in Texas to Alaska, where she spent most of her school years. Kathy has taught in six states at all levels and she has been a school administrator. She holds a degree in Elementary Education from NNU, an M.Ed. from Washington State University, and post graduate work from West Texas State and Texas A & M. Kathy is founder of Vessel Ministries, and speaks extensively throughout the U. S. and Canada to women's organizations and other groups. In the summers she lectures as a naturalist aboard cruise ships in Alaska. She and her husband, Dr. David A. Slamp, live in Medford, OR, and have two grown children and two grandsons.
