Andrew J. Shoup has written and illustrated several children's books that have been shared with his family and friends over the years. While he doesn't live on an island and drink from coconut shells, he did graduate from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in 1986 and lived near the ocean for several years. He currently resides in Kettering, Ohio and works as a graphic designer for a prominent advertising agency. Occasionally, you can find him at local area schools, talking with kids about writing and illustrating.
