The book is limited to 2,000 copies. 150 of these have been set aside for a limited edition of signed copies with a print.
The book is hardbound, 11 1/4" x 12", with a French Fold Cover, containing 83 duotone images. There is an Introduction by Margaret Regan, an essay on Big Sur by Magnus Toren, and an essay on working with the nude by Steve Anchell.

Steve has been a contributing editor to Outdoor Photographer, Camera & Darkroom, and PhotoWork magazines and has written columns, feature articles and interviews for View Camera, PIC, Shutterbug, and Rangefinder magazines. He is currently the editor of Photovision magazine.
His three books, The Darkroom Cookbook, The Variable Contrast Printing Manual, and The Film Developing Cookbook are all international photography bestsellers. Photo-Eye Books of Santa Fe named The Variable Contrast Printing Manual the best technical title of 1997. The first anthology of his work, The Nude at Big Sur, was released in December 2002.
He has conducted photographic and darkroom workshops since 1979.
