About the Author:
Christian author and speaker Beth Misner is an ordained minister with a bachelor's degree in theology as well as a master's degree in theology with an emphasis in spiritual formation. She is the founder of Journey Center Claremont a Christ-based center for spirituality, healing and wholeness.
Beth's own spiritual journey has planted the seed of passion within her to be an instrument of peace and grace for the seeker and the believer who is not sure that their personal beliefs match what life really looks like. "All the higher education in theology and Bible knowledge in the world is not worth much if our lives aren't transformed by what we learn," she says.
Beth and her husband, Ivan, own and operate BNI (Business Network International) and are co-founders of the BNI-Misner Foundation, a non-profit foundation which supports children and education around the world. "It is so overwhelmingly gratifying to be able to impact the lives of kids all over our planet, whether they are in Kansas or India," she shares. "I was raised with an understanding that we have an obligation as Christians to make life better for others wherever and whenever we can." Her philanthropic effort in the BNI Foundation is one way Beth lives as a present-day member of the kingdom of God.
Together with her husband, she resides in Austin, TX, and is mom to three young adults. Ashley is an artist; Cassandra is a college student in graphic design at the Art Institute of North Hollywood; and Trey is a budding entrepreneur with his own video game production company.
Her hobbies and interests include reading and traveling.
Beth is available as an inspirational speaker on a variety of topics.
Review:
Jesus and the Secret is a necessary read for anyone who is not sure how The Secret is compatible with the teachings of Jesus. Beth Misner has done an exquisite job of connecting how and where the law of attraction is discussed in the Bible. Masterful work! I highly recommend this book as one of your 2011 reads. --Lisa Nichols, featured teacher in the NY Times best seller, The Secret, and author of No Matter What!
Beth Misner has done an excellent job of taking the teachings of The Secret and pointing out where they are compatible with scripture. She brilliantly shows where the two teachings intersect. Her message is clear and on target! --Marci Shimoff, NY Times Best-selling Author of Happy for No Reason and Chicken Soup for the Woman's Soul
It is so important the we engage our culture with images and concepts that capture their attention. Like Paul, Beth is using an existing belief framework to find a platform for Truth. --Jennifer Kennedy Dean, Speaker and Author of Live a Praying Life
