About the Author:
A teacher since 1970, Dr. Cuadros has taught psychology, history, ad philosophy courses at eight different Latin American universities. He has worked in special education for 30 years in Colombia, Venezuela, and the United States, In the late 1980s, he wrote and implemented behavioral programs for students and adults with disabilities at several institutions in New York City. For the past 15 years, he has been a bilingual special education teacher in the public school system there. Dr. Cuadros received his M.S. degree in experimental psychology in 1980 from the University of Sao Paulo, in Brazil; his M.A. degree in education of the emotionally disturbed in 1990 from Teachers College, Columbia University, in New York; and his Master in Education degree in instructional practice in special education in 1994, also from Teachers College. In 2002, he received his Doctorate in Education from Teachers College. He has published more than 50 papers for courses and worshops within graduate and undergraduate programs in special education, psychology and research. Dr. Cuadros lives in New York City and enjoys running, swimming and playing basketball.
