About the Author:
Artful Nomad Steve Stratman has stumbled and bounced around quite a bit over the years, jammed in sputtering buses or crammed in backs of trucks or boats in his travels up and down the globe. Either it's been a gritty and amazing way to see rough-neck corners of the world, or merely a testament to someone not clever enough to do it otherwise. As a traveler, he's chugged through Mexico, loped around Central America, loafed about the Caribbean, rumbled around South America, and generally bumbled and jostled across Egypt, Israel and Southeast Asia. In these places he managed to bump into some curiously amazing destinations, which we feel deserve some careful illumination. As an Emergency Medical Technician, Steve worked on an ambulance crew with the Honduran Red Cross and in his spare time guided whitewater river expeditions in his kayak in the mountains along the Honduran coast. As a graphic artist, writer, camper, softball player and whitewater kayaker, Steve lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA.
