Review:
For those managers who have read Sun Tzu s Art of War, Caesar s Commentaries on the Gallic Wars, Karl von Clausewitz s On War, and Antoine Henri de Jomini s Vie Politique et Militaire de Napoleon, you did not get the whole story. In the 21st Century, football is war. Brian Jones has brought football into the executive suite. Yes, it is possible to be a successful manager and to do it in a moral and ethical way, yet in a full contact way driving toward success. The book discusses in depth some simple guiding statements that make so much sense the reader will wonder why he didn t think of them. Football coaches have. Hoping for the best isn t a plan. Play with a purpose. Face reality. Remember the objective. Play to win. With frequent quotations from the Book of Proverbs guiding the reader along the way, the Christian manager knows he is running his team by the right playbook. Brian C. Draper, MBA, JD Director-Haab School of Business and Management Concordia University --Concordia University
